Uh oh, looks like someone’s bucket of roller paint exploded. Special bonus points because the paint got tagged. They have the world’s biggest cardboard fort down at Potrero Point Power Plant, but they don’t want to share. This was taken last November in Tilden Park. I stuck a pair of binoculars on the end of my little Fuji F30 to fashion a super ghetto telephoto lens. I think the muddy results actually bring out the strange texture the surface of the bay had that day. It almost gives the picture a tilt-shifted [...] A junkyard full of the world’s most reliable cars rots in West Oakland. Whose fault is this really? The people who put the garbage as close as possible, or the City of Oakland for sending a cardboard box to do a trash can’s job? One of my favorite things to shoot is other photographers taking pictures. Whenever I come across someone else having themselves a little photo session, I usually can’t help but fire off a few shots of my own. It is easy to grab a candid as everyone’s attention is usually focused on the first photographer. Having [...] Since it was such a nice day on Tuesday, I decided to head to my favorite steps for some views unencumbered by fog. It also happens that the Cliff House celebrated its 100th anniversary yesterday (Nov. 4th). Coverage of that can be found on SFGate and Market St. Railway. 24 hour service meant that BART was turned into a mobile costume party, although it was quite subdued by 3 in the morning. So Girafa (Steven Free) was arrested in San Jose yesterday. 10 Felony counts totaling $40,000 worth of damage. I wish Mr. Free all the best in his upcoming legal defense.
